Wild ramps are one of the first edible plants to emerge in Ontario’s spring forests — a true sign that the season of growth has begun. In this workshop, we’ll explore how to work with ramps respectfully and deliciously, pairing them with handmade pasta for a truly seasonal meal.
This 2.5-hour, hands-on class includes:
Tips for identifying and harvesting ramps sustainably
How to make fresh pasta from scratch
How to prepare a simple, vibrant wild ramp pesto
Shared cooking and communal dining
Conversation about seasonal eating, community care, and local food systems
All tools and ingredients are provided, and no experience is needed. You’ll have the chance to learn, practice, and enjoy everything we make together.
When: 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Location: Bayfield Community Centre & Arena
A portion of proceeds will go to the local food bank. Come ready to cook, learn, and connect.
