The Grounded Garden
Hands in the soil. Heart in the rhythm of the seasons.
The Grounded Garden is a place to slow down, work with the land, and tend the quiet rhythms of the seasons. These gatherings create space to plant, harvest, compost, and care for the soil together — not as tasks to check off, but as small acts of connection that root us more deeply to the land and to one another.
Each gathering is shaped by what the season offers. Whether we are planting seeds, weeding beds, turning compost, or gathering herbs, the work is simple, embodied, and shared. These sessions are not about productivity, but about presence — learning from the land as we tend it.
All gatherings are free to attend. Your time, presence, and care are the contribution.
How It Works
We Gather
We meet at the garden site for seasonal work days, guided by what’s needed at the time.
We Tend
Tasks are simple, guided, and shaped by the season and the space — always accessible and flexible.
We Learn
Each gathering includes space for reflection, conversation, and learning alongside the land.
We Share
The harvest and care we offer will support future Community Pot cook-ups or be shared in ways that nourish the wider community.
“Food justice is about working to create a world where everyone has the right to good food — and where communities cook, eat, and celebrate together.”
— Bryant Terry
